We recently had the privilege to help one of our customers propose to his girlfriend at the Black Sand Beach on the Road to Hana! Here are photos, videos and story on how it all went down.
The Plan
A couple of weeks before his trip, Karl emailed our team and asked if we could help him pull of his engagement. He wanted to do it at Wai'anapanapa and he asked if we could create a message in a bottle, “Will you marry me?”
Karl was taking Carrie down the Road to Hana with our Road to Hana CD on a Harley they rented while on Maui. We agreed to have the bottle prepped and staged at the beach at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Hidden in the bushes was our friend Nate Strubhar from Nate and Jenna Photography, who shot the video below, and Paul Farmer, the mastermind behind the Road to Hana CD, who took all the still photos.
